2 Timothy 3:12 and 14, “Yes, and all who desire to live godly in Christ Jesus will suffer persecution… But you must continue in the things which you have learnt and been assured of, knowing from whom you have learnt them.”

While here on earth, in this danger zone that we are passing through, don’t be surprised when blessings are accompanied by battles. These are simply reminders of how much we need God; they are to build, prepare and to equip you. You are being built, not blocked – strengthened, not stopped. That delay is not denial!

Many today fall into the trap of attributing seeming delays to the blockage of the devil, rather than the building of God. Instead of recognising that for gold to be refined it must go through fire, they bestow unnecessary attention to the devil with their miscalculated complaints.

Others fall into the trap of being so focused on the cause of the seeming blockage, that they miss the process of building. Anointing attracts attack. God’s favour draws man’s envy – that’s why we must be equipped.

Others still, out of impatience or man’s ambition, take actions to jump ahead of God’s time or try to skip ahead of God’s process. But in the skipping, they miss equipping. If you have skipped the building, then you are not equipped for the battle.

So value God’s processing by continuing in the things which you have learnt from God’s Word and avoiding the trap of distraction. In doing so, you will come to believe that in God’s way of doing things there are no shortcuts to spiritual maturity, no double-promotion – you must take every course because they serve a purpose.

Prayer: Lord Jesus Christ, help me to see the season that I am in from Your point of view. Thank You that I can trust that You are making everything beautiful in Your time. In Jesus’ name, amen.
